Q· My garage door operator is very old, can you replace the transmitter?
A· If your transmitter does not contain dip switches, and is 15 years or older, you may not be able to replace the transmitter, however, you can replace the receiver, and update your operator.

Q· What is a right or left handed gate?
A· Left and right “handing” refers to placement of the gate hinges and the hinge post.

Q· Swing gate? or slide gate? how do I determine the application I need?
A· A swing gate looks nice while it is opening, and are easier to install, they are usually safer than a sliding gate. A sliding gate is necessary where there is a steep grade uphill in the direction the gate must swing, or there is limited maneuvering room on the property. .

Q· There is no electricity near the site where I need my gate, is there anything I can do?
A· If there is not any electrical power near the site of the gate, you could use a solar powered gate operator.

Q· What is the material you use for your gates?
A· The material we use for our gates is wrought iron.

Q· How do you open & close the gate?
A.You can open and close the gate using, transmitters, you can have a free exit loop that opens the gate from the inside, and will close automatically, transmitter to open the gate from the outside. There are keypads, photo eyes, intercoms and telephone entry systems.

Q· I have a pair of gates fitted to brick pillars and the hinges are in the center of the pier. What would you recommend?
A. You can use a cantilever arm operator, or an underground motor

Q· I have a pair of wrought iron gates fitted to posts. What system would you recommend?
A. If you have sufficient side clearance, any system would work.

Q· What is the advantage of the cantilever arm operators?
A. This system will fit most gate types.

Q· What is the advantage of the underground operators?
A. The underground systems are not seen when they are installed, they fit most applications.

Q· What is the range of a transmitter?
A. The standard receiver has a range of 30-40 feet, but if a further distance is needed, there is an external receiver, which increases the range

Q· How will I know if there are visitors at the gate when it is closed?
A. · You can have a intercom installed which has a call button, with a handset and a release button in the house, this allows you to communicate with the visitors and open the gates for them.

Q· How do visitors enter when no one is in the house?
A. · Access control equipment can be supplied to you, that suits your personal requirements, or you can have a keypad for greater security.

Q· What options do you have to control a gate?
A. · You can control a gate with, transmitters, keypads, exit sensors, photo eyes, intercoms and a telephone entry system.
